Vincennes Golf Club, previously named Fox Ridge Country Club, is a semi-private, 18 hole golf course located in Vincennes, Indiana.
Vincennes Golf Club first opened for play in 1988. The name change occurred in 2006. The course was designed by Duane Dammeyer and George Ridgeway.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,578 yards. The course rating from the back tees is 72.1 with a slope rating of 131. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,412 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 525 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 128 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 432 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 128 yard par-3.
Vincennes Golf Club has 18 challenging golf holes, a lighted driving range, a full- service restaurant, lounge, and golf-outing facilities.
The course closed in December 2013.
Brett Melton, owner of Country Club of Old Vincennes purchased the Vincennes Golf Club in December 2013. He will close the golf course and sell the land for real estate development. He described the purchase as a way to secure the future of the Country Club of Old Vincennes. There were not enough golfers to support two courses in close proximity. Eliminating one helps makes the other profitable.
